日本初のiTMS(US)ディストリビューターがボニーピンク等のコンピをリリース

現在テキサス州オースティンでは音楽産業の見本市SXSWが開催されており、期間中いろんなところでアーティストのライブなども行われているようで、日本のアーティストも16組が出演する模様。その中で18日19日にはJapan Niteとして日本人のアーティストのイベントも開催されるそうです。SXSWでは750曲以上をP2Pで一括配布（HOTWIRED）なんて話もあり、話題には事欠かないですね。

さて、本題。このイベントに併せて日本のインディレーベルのアーティストの楽曲をiTunes Music Store(US)で販売プロモーションするライツスケールという会社が発足し、その第1段としてSXSW出演のアーティストのうち、BONNIE PINK、Titan Go King's(チタン合金ズ)、Suns Owl、Fantasy's CoreのEP曲の配信をiTMSで開始しました。

です。ちなみに、iMixesのGreetings from Japan[iTMS]ってのを見ると、結構iTMSで買える日本人アーティストも少しずつ増えている模様。なんつうか、大手のレーベルもあんまりぐずぐずしてると、iTMS Japanが始まる前にオンライン上の邦楽売り場まで海外に持ってかれちゃうよん。

Rightsscale, Inc. today announced that music from four Japanese artists will be available on the iTunes Music Store in the US. The artists, showcasing at South By Southwest Music and Media Conference (SXSW 2005) in Austin, Texas this month, are BONNIE PINK, Titan Go-King's,Suns Owl, and Fantasy's Core.The songs will be available as an EP pack titled "SXSW2005 JAPAN."

BONNIE PINK: Female singer-songwriter with a Swedish-pop taste.
Titan Go King’s: An all-girl punk band that has the wild pop taste of the 80’s.
Suns Owl: Modern thrash metal band with a heavy new-school groove.
Fantasy’s Core: Rock’n Roll band with intense stage performances.
